Here is an radio in my collection of antiques waiting for restoration. It's a 1925 Thompson Mfg V-50 Neutrodyne. Though lacking tubes (five 01A's) the interior appears to be in very good condition.
I'm currently working on a new series for History Channel, and are looking for people who want to surprise a loved one with a restored family heirloom or long-lost treasured possession. I wanted to see if you currently have any clients that have always wanted to, or have started working on restoring a vintage item that has a great historical and/or sentimental significance for a loved one, with the intent on reuniting their loved one with the restored gift. If you do, it would be great to showcase your work on the show!We are open to any kind of project- antique fishing boats, clocks, cars, tractors, farm equipment, motorcycles, vintage guns, campers, hunting equipment, military memorabilia-but I think an vintage radio would be a really cool restoration. (Here's a great example of the type of heartfelt story we're looking for: )Any help in forwarding this to your industry colleagues, antique enthusiasts, or allowing me to post on your group page would be appreciated. I would love to speak with you about any projects you currently might be working on. I've attached our flyer and any help you can offer in sharing our casting information on your social media pages or other resources, email databases or with your colleagues, would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you very much for your time and consideration!Andrea McHughProducer747-233-4500- ext 4527 (o)630.745.0906 (c)[email protected].
